Genocide Against Muslims
On the Jewish New Year’s Eve, Ma’ariv’s senior journalist Ben-Dror Yemini, published the first installment of a three part series about media representation of the Arab-Israeli conflict worldwide. The piece was entitled And the World is Silent. Yemini, a long time leftist, and supporter of Palestinian independence, has nevertheless been outraged, quite rightly, by the way that the criticism of Israel’s occupation, which he shares, has seeped, especially in Europe, into a wild array of attempts at delegitimizing the right of Jews to self-determination.
A central part of these attempts is the persistent myth about systematic “genocide” allegedly committed by Israel against Muslims in general and Palestinians in particular. Yemini did a simple thing: he collected the available numbers – they are staggering indeed – of Muslims murdered during the years of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Some 10,000,000 (ten million!) Muslims were murdered, by the more conservative estimations. But only about 0.6% of these deaths were caused by the Arab-Israeli conflict itself. Read again: about half a percent. Here’s one finding from the margins of Yemini’s research: France is responsible for about ten times more Muslim deaths than Israel during the same years. Not something your average newspaper reader in Europe is likely to guess. Imshin, an Israeli blogger, has translated the whole piece, which you can now read in English here.
THE NUMBERS IN A NUTSHELL:
Israel is responsible for about 60,000 Muslim deaths (all its wars and the occupation included).
The USA is responsible for about 70,000.
France is responsible for about half a million (in the 1950s alone, by the most conservative estimate).
Russia (along with the former Soviet Union) over one million.
About 8.5 million Muslims were murdered by Muslim regimes, internal Arab civil wars, and Arab tribal ethnic cleansing.
The first thing that meets the eye when you read the piece, since that was the piece’s intention, is the discrepancy between Israel’s image in world public opinion, and the actual numbers. But the more profound result of reading this research is quite other. If Israel is responsible for some 60,000, how have the deaths of the other 10,000,000 been so effectively marginalized in public opinion? The numbers were never secret, after all. Yemini collected them from Human Rights Organization, UN agencies, and the like. That those who have care fairly little about those who have not, we know. But that genocide on such a vast scale should slip under the radar and leave so small an impression is beyond pedestrian cynicism.

It consists of interviews of a number of former Muslims who disavowed Islam after being indoctrinated by radical clerics and even associating with terrorist groups. They each in their own way discovered that “radical” Islam isn’t as “radical” or out of mainstream Muslim thought as they would like the world to believe.
From the beginning, Mohammed was a war lord and Islamists still are bound by his original war-like tenets:
1. “Convert” all faiths and peoples of the world to a very conservative version of Islam.
2. If unsuccessful in forcing a “conversion” either kills the infidel or…
3. Enslave, subjugate or heavily tax the people or nations who decline this “invitation” to convert and insist on maintaining their religion.
These primary goals have never been changed, modified or disavowed and there is little evidence that “mainstream” even want to change the underlying philosophy of their “religion”. Various Islamic groups only differ in the timing of this world wide “conversion” process.
The “radical” elements, including the terrorists, are in a war to enforce Islamic principals today in our time whereas the more conservative Muslims think that the worldwide Islamic “take over” is in the future.
The “terrorists” are merely the courageous Muslims who are truly living their “religion” of intolerance and forced conversion and are secretly admired and supported by the less radical Muslim peoples… they are all of one mind in this quest for world domination.
This makes all the negotiations, treaties, political posturing and calls for “peace” futile efforts since the basics of the “religion” call for this worldwide jihad. When the Muslim armies were defeated and turned back at Vienna centuries ago on 9/11, they only made truces and retreated in order to rebuild and rearm to enable them to attack again when conditions were more favorable. The radical elements of Islam are operating on this same principle centuries later… they think the time is now.
Unless our leaders wake up to these non-politically-correct realities, we will always be at war with Islam. Israel and their allies (primarily the US) are in the unfortunate position of being the “catalyst” for this jihad. The hatred for the Jews dates back to the beginning of time because they are God’s chosen people… making them a target of hatred and violence since the beginning of recorded history. Israel is now being made the target of a worldwide campaign of disinformation and has been unjustly blamed for the present unrest around the world.
This is merely a diversion in an attempt to disguise the true goals of Islam - world-wide domination. They dream of a universal return to a very primitive, suppressive culture where women have no rights at all and everyone else is dominated by “Taliban-like” primitives.
If Islam ever succeeds in its un-ending quest, we will all be forced to return to the “stone age”. The rest of the world should wake up and realistically confront the reality of the Islamic quest. At least the rest of the world would not be fighting, confronting and negotiating from a position of ignorance and disinformation.
The film drives home these facts in a stark, forceful manner and every thinking person should see this movie, research its premise for themselves. The present debates over the causes and solutions for terrorism is oblique to these facts and therefore misses the point and the present attempts at diplomacy, treaties, cease-fires and compromise are doomed to failure.

Just a few days ago David Aaronovitch, a respected journalist and commentator aired a documentary, “No Excuses For Terror,” on British TV. Aaronovitch, who considers himself left-wing, criticizes how the anti-Israel views of the far-left and far-right have permeated the mainstream media and political discourse. Channel 5 went against the grain to broadcast this.

It does not matter what numbers anyone comes up with or what we say, as far as the world is concerned the muslims are the under dogs and Israel is the big bad wolf. Some of my friends would not even watch the news during the invasion of Lebanon because of the one sided views. The letters I read in The Independent of 11th September made my blood boil and I wonder if the people who wrote those letters have ever been to Israel or just base their views, once again, on what the get from the media. 33 years ago my brother-in-law died on the Golan along with other medics and doctors. His son never knowing his father. Painfull for our family but not an isolated case, it goes on an on. Each time we visit Israel we are asked by friends if we are not afraid !!! See what the media does ! I, for one, would be very happy if my two sons were to move to Israel and be with their family - maybe one day ?
